In the world of digital marketing, you need to get a response to your call-to-action (CTA).
By turning site visitors into converts, you’re strengthening your return on investment (ROI). But how does one go about this?
With web and landing pages optimized for conversion, of course!
At first, we checked numerous positive Leadpages reviews by users and its handy features, and it seems that this service can help you achieve both.
Then we tested the platform and evaluated its capabilities, so you can have all the information in one place and see if Leadpages is the right solution for you.
What Is Leadpages?
Leadpages is an online service that will help you build websites and landing pages optimized for conversion.
No coding knowledge is required from you. It provides the tools you need, as well as a rich knowledge base and first-hand support.
But this isn’t its only standout. Keep reading our Leadpages review for 2022 to see what else it has in stock.
Leadpages Best Features
With so many features, we’d have to publish a host of Leadpage reviews to cover them all. Here, we’ll deliver a rundown of the best it has to offer!
Free Web Hosting and Domain Name Registration
When you sign up for Leadpages, you get access to free web hosting and no-cost domain name registration. With the annual payment plan, you’ll also be given the option to create a Leadpages custom domain.
This will help your website stand out, increasing the strength of your brand.
For truly organic outreach and gathering of sales leads, Leadpages has SEO-friendly options geared towards search engine marketing built into the interface.
The Leadpages Designer
As you’ll be spending most of your hands-on time with Leadpages building landing pages and websites, you probably want to make sure the app is easy to use. The browser-based program follows a simple drag-and-drop design.
No technical knowledge is required. Just choose from the 200+ Leadpages landing page templates or the 40+ website drafts and drag and drop the sticky bars and pop-ups into place.
In order to help you boost visitor engagement and increase conversion rates, Leadpages offers a number of versatile integrations. These are third-party plugins and software that can be integrated into your Leadpages landing page.
Leadpages offers over 40 native integrations, but the possibilities don’t end there. With Zapier onboard—one of the biggest integration services—you’ll have access to hundreds of other integrations to suit your needs.
Leadpages supports FaceBook ads by allowing you to integrate FaceBook Pixels into your domain. These will help you better understand what sorts of sales leads you’re attracting and adjust accordingly. Keep reading our Leadpages review for more information about its analytics features.
Leadpages works with Mailchimp out of the box to take care of all your email needs—an important asset to your digital marketing campaign. Building a subscriber list and enabling follow-ups is an excellent way to go about conversion optimization.
Perhaps you’ve already made inroads online and don’t need to start from scratch. Not a problem, as Leadpages offers WordPress integration too. All you have to do is install the WordPress plugin, then link the two accounts via settings.
Insightful Analytics and Optimization Tools
It’s not enough to simply create a website or a landing page. You have to know how to build them for functionality too. Your goal is to improve your click-through rate and thereby boost your conversion rates. Knowing what’s working and what isn’t—this is where the Leadpages analytics reviews come in handy.
A/B testing is the standard when it comes to evaluating page performance. It’s where you create two slightly different versions of a website or landing page and “split” the traffic between them. Leadpages allows you to launch distinct variants from the builder and monitor them with real-time analytics.
For even more in-depth info, Leadpages supports Google analytics. Get an overview of incoming traffic and the performance of your pages from Google itself. It’s an absolute must for search engine marketing.
Heatmaps, available via the Hotjar integration, are crucial for understanding how visitors are interacting with your page physically. Where they are moving their mice, what they are clicking on and scrolling through, etc.
All this information will enable you to identify which elements are most provocative and capitalize on them or patch deficiencies.
Mobile Responsive Elements
While AMP pages aren’t supported specifically, all Leadpages landing pages are mobile-optimized/responsive. In the builder, you can see what they look like on desktop, tablet, and mobile. Switch back and forth to adjust the elements according to your preferences.
The Leadpages software is geared towards ensuring fast loading speeds for your mobile visitors. Slow speeds could drop your conversion rate if sales leads grow bored and bounce.
Great Knowledge Base
Along with the tools and analytics, you’ll have access to a knowledge base on Leadpages landing page best practices. If you opt for the biggest Leadpages plan, you’ll also receive one-on-one support from staff.
Get access to the Leadpages webinar archive for a range of lessons in any area you need—it’s open to everyone.
Along with that, Leadpages regularly holds live events with question-and-answer sections, giving you a chance to interact directly with experts in the field.
The Leadpages software is in line with GDPR compliance and has everything in place to make sure your and your customers’ data privacy is protected.
Moreover, it has automatic SSL encryption to ensure your pages are secure.
Older Leadpages reviews mention the lack of SSO support, but this is now available.
Unlimited Traffic and Leads
An underrated feature that distinguishes Leadpages from its competitors is the unlimited allowance for traffic and conversions on your pages. Other services cap your visitors and conversions, requiring an upgrade to your plan if the limits are exceeded. With Leadpages, you get an inexhaustible allowance no matter the price you pay.
While traffic is unlimited, the plan you choose will affect your experience, as you can see further below.
What We Disliked
It’s all been gravy so far, but of course, no program is perfect. For example, some options can be restrictive depending on the Leadpages price and plan. Our complaints relate mainly to this.
Slow Customer Support
Customer support can be quite slow to respond.
On top of that, the level of support you get differs depending on the price you’re paying.
Standard Plan holders can only contact support via email, whereas Pro Plan holders can make use of the live chat feature.
Only Advanced Plan holders can phone a Leadpages customer service agent directly for immediate one-on-one support.
Limited Functionality on the Cheapest Plan
If you opt for the Standard Plan, you won’t have access to A/B testing or the online sales functionality.
If you’re on a budget and trying to set up an ecommerce store, this will hinder your attempts to launch.
Uncertainty about Integrations
Certain Leadpages advanced integrations are exclusive to the biggest plan.
On top of that, the service doesn’t make it clear exactly what these are.
Leadpages doesn’t have the largest number of integrations, to begin with, so it’s disappointing that it’d reduce the pool even further for those on a budget.
Leadpages has three pricing plans available. You’ll receive a sizable discount if you pay for a year upfront. All packages come with a 14-day free trial, so you can try the service without paying.
The Standard Plan costs $49 a month or $37 a month for an annual payment. This amounts to $144 in total for the whole year. This package gives you access to most items mentioned in the review except online sales and A/B testing. The subscription is valid for one website only.
The mid-range Leadpages price is $99 a month or $74 a month for an annual payment. That’s $300 in total for the whole year. In addition to the basic features, the Pro Plan gives you access to online sales, A/B testing, and LiveChat support. With it, you can have up to three active sites.
The Advanced Plan is available for a custom price. Its main advantage is the access to advanced integrations, phone calls for one-on-one assistance, and the fact that you can have up to 50 active sites.
On top of that, you can create a Leadpages custom domain with all annual plan sign-ups.
Leadpages Customer Service and Support
Customer support can be slow, but it does depend on the pricing plan. Standard Plan holders will receive support via email. Pro Plan users can access LiveChat for quicker responses. Advanced Plan subscribers can contact an agent via phone for direct and constant support throughout their session.
Once you’ve made contact, the agents are thorough and helpful.
As part of our Leadpages review research, we contacted the customer service team. Being a DIY platform, we were curious what the extent of the support was exactly. The agents explained that all the legwork—setup, script installation, etc.—must be done by you, but they do provide extensive advice.
They’ll even make a short custom video for your specific problem to show you exactly what you need to do. Emails have a 24-hour turnaround for replies, but most of ours arrived sooner. LiveChat and phone call support are available from 9:00 am-5:00 pm CT, Monday to Friday.
Leadpages User Reviews
For the final part of our Leadpages review, we looked at some user reviews to see what other customers think. Leadpages holds a 4.6-star rating on Trustpilot and four stars on both Trustradius and G2. Most users love the usability of the builder and the in-depth customer support.
The complaints revolved mainly around the Leadpages trial and billing. It appears that many users didn’t, or according to them, couldn’t cancel the trial in time, so they were billed. Others complain that the option they chose and what they were billed for differed.
But Leadpages seems to have gotten the message. Now the pricing page has an extensive FAQ section explaining how the trial and plan selection works in great detail.
Leadpages reviews on Reddit are more ambivalent. Most users claim they prefer other services without providing a concrete explanation why.
Is the Leadpages Worth It?
Leadpages is one of the cheapest landing/web page builders available with an entry-level payment plan.
If you can manage without immediate support and certain advanced features, it’s perfect for individuals or small businesses looking to boost their online advertising.
That said, when you start moving into the more expensive plans, the costs are even out with those of its competitors.
If you just want a landing page builder without the website building functionality, check out these Leadpages competitors.
Instapage vs. Leadpages
They both come with unlimited traffic. The main difference between them is the price. Instapage has a much higher entry-level cost, but it also includes more advanced features in the package. If you’re willing to chip in, Instapage is the better service.
Leadpages vs. Unbounce
Many consider Unbounce to be the best landing page builder.
It supports more integrations than Leadpages and has conversion intelligence tools.
However, Leadpages is more cost-effective in the long run. Unbounce has hard caps on traffic to your pages, while Leadpages doesn’t. If you prioritize quantity, Leadpages may be best for you.
Leadpages is great for individuals and small businesses that need to launch a website and optimize their landing pages. The Leadpages entry cost is low, with room for growth and unlimited traffic.
It’s more advanced than most landing page makers because it doubles as a website builder.
At the same time, it’s superior to others in that its testing functions are limited.
Leadpages is used for building websites and landing pages. Its aim is to boost your conversion rates—the number of visitors to your site that become customers/subscribers. The service offers a lot of information on how to do this, as well as all the tools you’ll need.
Leadpages has over 40,000 customers. It reached this figure in just two years of being active. This says something about the quality of the service and its marketing expertise—expertise it’ll share with you if you sign up.
Leadpages has three pricing plans. The cheapest option available is $27 a month if you pay for an entire year or $37 for one month. Consult the pricing table in our Leadpages review above for the full pricing list.
Yes. Leadpages has a system in place to help you create and manage digital content, but its focus is mainly on your website’s form and landing pages. This means you’ll probably have to use other CMS to create content.
Luckily, Leadpages integrates with a number of such systems—something that’s often mentioned in Leadpages reviews and highly valued by customers.
